BIOGRAPHY
Benedek Kis is an organist and church musician whose passion for music began at the age of five with piano studies, later focusing primarily on the organ.
He completed his secondary music education at the Egressy Béni Conservatory in Budapest, where he began studying the organ in 2017. In 2019 he was admitted to the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music (Budapest) in the Church Music program, earning his Bachelor’s degree in 2022 and his Master’s degree in Church Music in 2025. His teachers were Dr. Tamás Bódiss, Dr. Pál Enyedi and Dr. Dóra Pétery. He also participated in masterclasses given by Krzysztof Urbaniak, Erich Türk and Zsigmond Szathmáry.
He regularly performs in Hungary, including appearances in the Grand Hall of the Liszt Academy as part of the Church Music Department concert series and at the Reformed Church Music Festival’s Organ Marathon. During his university studies he also had opportunities to perform abroad.
Since 2019 he has served as organist and cantor at the Central Reformed Church of the Budapest–Csepel Congregation.
In his free time, he enjoys listening to music and writing stories.
